LYB + Maya Road!

I have to say, recieving the package from Maya Road put a big smile on my face!

I LOVE all those different flowers, and that so many of them were in "boyish"-colors:)
I had some ultrasound pictures I wanted to put into a mini album, and since we are expecting a boy, I thought those lovely green and blue colors in the Twig collection fit perfectly!

I used the "Play" chipboardalbum from Maya Road, and removed the two Play pages. I painted all the pages with gesso, and started to decorate. I also used two envelopes from the Twig Envelope Album, which I just reduced in size for it to fit inside the album.

I colored some of the chipboard Mini blossoms from Maya Road with chalk, and put some glitter Stickles on top for some glittery finish.

Materials used for the mini: different patterned papers from Twig, minibanner, fabric favorites, favorite pieces stickers, fresh verse stickers, crepe paper lace stickers and chipboard shapes ith glitter. Maya Road products: "Play" chipboard album, Felt Pearl Blossoms, Gingham Fabric Blossoms (brown and green) and Candy Stripes blossoms.

Well, I needed a layout too with an ultrasound picture, didn't I?

Here I have used Diamond Dust patterned paper from Twig, together with Espresso Knots. The small piece of paper to the right is a leftover from the envelope album, stuck behind one of the fabric frames (which I think I already mentioned that I LOOOVE!?)

I made a flower cluster with 3 Gingham Flowers from Maya Road, on top of some corrugated shapes pieces from Twig. To top it off, I put some stick pins in there too:)

For the first time, I have played a long with Studio Calico's Sunday Sketch. This sundays sketch was based on a layout by Tina, here is the sketch:

It turned out to be a "not-so-typically-me" layout, but there is something about the colors that i like.

Have a fantastic eastervacation! We are going to my grandparents cabin tomorrow. With eastereggs filled with candy *yummy*

I started subscribing to Scraprat kits, after seeing Tracie posting about it on facebook. Have you guys seen the kits??(well, kit, it's their first month:)) Pretty pretty I have to say!!
A lot of vintage bits and pieces, and gorgeous patterned papers!

But I don't think you have to worry about the Sold out sign, I think you can join the waiting list! And you should:)

Here is a couple of layouts I made with this kit. I still have a lot of stuff left. I even made a layout for the Sketches2Scrapbook App for Iphone/Ipad, which I can't show just yet. (Yup, I made the team *hurray*) Check out the apps here. Perfect to bring for crops and gatherings, a bunch of sketches for scrapbooking with examples on how to use the different sketches:)

Attending the Papirfest this weekend got my mojo going, and I actually scrapbooked a bit:)
And I had received my box of yummyness (read: Elizabeth Park from LYB) two days earlier and I was ready to dig in! I made a whole lot of EP stuff, but I can't show them yet. They will pop up later this month:)

What I can show you, is a card I made using EP. I have to say, those fabric frames!!!! GOSH!! I wish I had a ton of them, they are so pretty, and so versatile!

did some shopping on monday. Not because I had to buy some babyclothes, but because I had seen this in a commercial and thought they were gorgeous! So I had to buy them before they were sold out:) Right?:) ( I bought a silver one too..)

feeling: tired of having this awful blister on my upper lip. I look like shit...seriously! The cold dry air does this to me every year...It looked like it was about to heal, but then I had to have lunch yesterday, that made me have to open my mouth reeeeeal high to get it in...and then! Ouch!!

weather: windy and cold, again!

wanting: to get back into my dream...I had this awesome dream right before I woke up today...Wanna hear? It is silly, but yet so good:) I was in this videostore (I use to be a manager in one for 5 years) and was helping them fixing their computersystem. And suddenly Colin Farrell (yup, I am not kidding!) stood there, a bit tipsy, or drunk you may say:) He was leaning over the counter to see what we were doing. And I couldn't help myself! I figured, this is my once in a lifetime shot! I asked him: Can I get a kiss?

LOL

And I did! a real, loooong one! Gosh!! As he was leaving, he stuck his foot in the stairs. I went over to help him, and ended up following him to the exit of the store. We stood there, kissing (now I am blushing just telling this!!) and were talking about how we wanted to see each other again:) But he could not send me an sms, because he had read in the norwegian gossipmagazines, that a lot of norwegian celebrities had "burned themselves" on that.

And then the alarmclock went off!! So now I don't know what we agreed to!? Will I see him again??

LOL

You may now figured, that Colin is my ultimate dream HUNK!! And I am totally allowed to do WHATER HE LETS ME do to/with him if I ever meet him:) (My husband has said so:))

It's been a while since I posted sneaks from Twig, but here comes the full layout, finally! I am so jealous of the girls attending CHA these last couple of days. Little Yellow Bicycle revealed 5 new collections for spring/summer. And I think I have to say TWIG is my favorite! (I haven't seen any of the others in RL, and they sure look PRETTYPRETTY! But there is something about the colors and patterns in TWIG :)

Just had to share some sneaks from one of LYB's new collections, which will be released for CHA later this month. (did I mention how SAAAAAD I am for not going this year??:()

I have to say, this collection, it is gorgeous! I mean, like, stunning!
I was able to sit down this week and make a layout with this, and will share some peeks of it later today:)

Living life on a limb is the theme of Twig, with touches of vintage and a warm mingling of blues, greens and browns. Beautiful finds from the nature!

I can't believe it's been almost a month since my last blogpost! Time FLIES by, really! Only 3 days until xmas *whiii*

Last night, Trude Julie came over for pizza and some crafting. We were really productive!! I made 9 milkcartons for my coworkers, and decorated two egg cartons for two beautiful ladies in my daughters kindergarden. She made 4 cards and 4 milkcartons, so pretty!

Am I ready for xmas? uhmm, well, I thought I was. The gifts were done last week, and the house has been decorated for quite some time now. I was thinking about making a little something for our sweet neighbours, and for my grandparents. Maybe tomorrow...:) My husband has been in Denmark for a couple of days, can't wait to have him home again! We'll do all the groceryshopping and bying the xmastree. And then.......I think we are done:)

Finally, I did a Prompt!!I wrote my little girl a letter, about how fantastic it is to see her grow up, yet still a bit sad to see my "little" girl not being so little anymore...:)

Journaling says: It is almost a bit sad everytime we celebrate your birthday, because that means you are less and less my little "baby".I just found these pictures I had planned to scrapbook about a year ago from when you were turning 4, and with you just turning 5 I figured it was about time to scrapbook them. I love to see how well you enjoy Kindergarden, but also how excited you are about starting school after the summer. Can you imagine? After the summerholiday our BIG LITTLE girl starts school! You talk alot about who is taking you to school, and that you would like to go home from school by yourself. It is so funny, and not least Entertaining to hear about your futureplans! You have a lot of thoughts about life already. I hope you will continue to share this with us also when you grow up. I love you! Mum

As some of you have already figured, I am so lucky to have joined the My Little Yellow Bicycle designteam:) I am really excited about this, especially since their Clothesline was one of my all time favourites at winter CHA 2010!
I have started some of my "work"now, and really enjoyed making this mini.
I have used the Savor collection, their Kitchen Collection which is inspired by Sharon's grandmother:) Everything used here is from the Savor collection. I collected som of my favorite "sweet-tooth" recipes, like Oreotruffles, cheeseIceCake, and a few more.

Finally got some mojo this weekend, and actually scrapped, 4 layouts!!
It felt good scrapbooking, to be creative. I have been "resting" on the couch almost every evening lately. I am so so tired. I fear that it may have something to do with my new Low-carb-lifestyle, I think I get too little carbs. So from now on I think I have too add some, and eat more. I am still avoiding potatoes, pasta and all of those obvious carb-traps, but need to eat more food in general.

Oh well, enough about me! Here is the layouts I did this weekend.

Maja got to ride a donkey at a tiny tiny zoo in Sutivan, Croatia this summer. So proud:)

Have to say, I LOOOVE my hipstamatic:) This is the first one I took with that camera-app, at the off-to-summer-party with the Maja's kindergarten.

This is the first time I have printed a photo on patterned paper. And definately not the last!! Love how this turned out.

At the promenade in Split, there was all these stonechairs displayed. Maja had to try them all, and then needed me to take her picture at each and one of them:)
I sorta invited my self over to Trude's house tomorrow, miss having someone to scrap with. So I am looking forward to that:)

I am probably the worst blogger ever, know!
And actually, I wish I could blame it on that things have been busy, but that would not be fair.

As some of you know, we got cut down on hours at work august last year. Yesterday everyone at work finally got back working 100 %. (sad thing is, we had to let 6 people go this year...:() Things finally starts to get kinda busy at work, new orders coming in, and shos to attend. We are attending ONS (Offshore Northern Seas) in Stavanger next week, one of the world’s leading energy industry expositions. This will be our first time as an exhibitor. We are really excited:)

Since my last post, waaay back in May, I've taken some trips here and there. First , in mid June, me and my hubby went to Oslo to celebrate my good friend Nina's 30th birthday. Then, in July, we went to Croatia for 15 days, and stayed at this hotel. We went together with some neighbours, who has a girl the same age as ours. I have to say, I fell in love with Croatia:) The water, the people, the nature, all of it! The third dy of our stay,all of Croatia experienced a heat wave. The temperature varied between 95F-112F, and for us Norwegians, that is H O T!! Luckily the resort had three swimmingpool-areas, so cooling down was not a problem:)

Three days after we got home, me and Maja went to Bergen to visit my sister and her family. An we actually started JOGGING! I would never, in my wildest imagination, believed that me and her were ever jogging together! But actually, to days in a row even:) I have, believe it or not, started to move around more. And
combined with changing my lifestyle to lowcarb, that has resulted in -22 lbs:) It feels good to finally have found something that works for me. And this is no diet! It is a lifestylechange, because I am not going back to eating like I did before EVER again! (fingers crossed!)

October is kinda a busy month here in our house every year (3 of 3 birthdays in our household is in october...), but this year is even busier. With Maja turning 5, we are barely done celebrating before we head to Oslo to attend Nina and Robins wedding. (I found 4(!!!) vintage dresses yesterday, having trouble to deside which one to wear) .I have also starting the countdown for our New York trip! Today it is 51 days until we leave for the big Apple!! I am so exited! We are using my 30th birthday as an excuse for this trip, since it's a no-men-no-children-trip:) Turning 30, is actually something I am looking forward to! Not only because of the NY trip, but overall:)Since turning 30 while staying there, I am having a big celebration with my friends when we get home. Excited!!

For those of you who hasn't fallen asleep yet, I wanted to share a layout I made here the other day. I actually scrapped! SHOCK!
The girl in the picture is my gorgeous oh so funny niece. She just turned 9 months, and the sweetest girl! I wish they lived next door! Luckily they post videos and pictures of her in their personal blog, and I can't stop looking at her:)

It is a bad picture, taken with my photobooth-application on my Iphone. But you get an idea at least:)

Hopefully I will update my blog more often, even though nothing excited goes around here.

I got an email from Sharon, at Little Yellow Bicycle, if I could make some layouts with the upcoming Snugglebug collection. My friend May Lis had gotten some samples at CHA, since she was expecting a baby boy this May (welcome little Martin, 25th of May:)) and what was more perfect than to scrapbook her ultrasound pictures??

I love the colors in this collection, and they are so versatile. As you can see below here, I even used the Boy collection with a picture of my daughter and her sweet cousin Ona.

I bought this birdhouse at Michaels. Me and May Lis had a trip to Michaels in Anaheim in January. These houses was in the $1 section, and I only bought 2!!!! Why oh why!!!?? I didn't even fill up my suitcases, I had several kilos to go before having to pay overweight!

I have one more left, saving it for a special occation:)

Now I am off to vacuum second floor...doh! Just got home from an hour at the gym, and I'm almost ready for my late night snack:)

Ok, this time I actually listen when someone gave me a tip:) Dina Wakley told us to keep the paper after we had been misting and spraying, and wiping. So I did, and I used it!! And the paper looks amazing, really!!!Thanks honey!

I used the Brittany Meadows, Kenner Road's March Kit, on this layout. Gorgeous kit!!!! The picture is of me when I got baptized (correct?no?) on my great grandfathers lap.

Have to bring up CHA again. 'Cause yesterday I scrapped some photos of these two sweet girls, KL and Dina. We went to Bubba Gump in Anaheim for dinner one evening, ate some chicken and shrimp. And Diet Dr. Pepper ;)

Also had to make a layout about this looooong winter we've been having this year. 83 days with snow, a lot of snow!!! The first snow came the 19th of december, and I remember us beeing all: Oh no, this ain't gonna last until christmas...it's gonna rain away!! Ehhhh, did NOOOOT!!! It has been crazy around here this winter, with temperatures down in -13 F (-25 degrees C) I don't think I have ever experienced this cold weather here in Norway since I was born in 1980. And they say we can expect this for the next 30 years! Oh well... The layout is called IceAge in norwegian:)

This layout I made for Scrappejungelen, using the newest papers from Prima. I took these cute photos of my daughter and her great-grand parents in Spain last month. She is so fortunate to have 4 great-grandparents still!

Attending CHA in January ment getting to meet all these sweet people again:) One of them was Sharon from My Little Yellow Bicycle. She is so sweet :)

Made this necklace for my daughter today, inspired by a necklace I bought at H&M in Spain last week.
Used thick felt as background, and glued on some prima flowers and a flower I got from Xstine once (Think her mom made it:)) I used some "looprings" from a necklace I made at Making Memories' make and take at CHA, and the chain from a old necklace I had laying around...

Found some layouts I hadn't posted yet, so bear with me, I am warning you! PICTURE OVERLOAD!

Sorry, the pictures are all blurry. It is hopeless to find some decent light around here...:(

At Papirfesten last october, Dina tried to do some scrapping with my Studio Calico kit. She cut up some paper, but sadly that was all she had time to do. She told me to finish a layout with the scraps, which I did. So this layout is kinda Dina-like-ish, with paint and colorwash and strips of paper. And I love it!!

This too, is a result of some already Dina-cut paper, that I put together. Love this one too! Also from Studio Calico-kit!

I had some layouts hanging on my wall, that I submitted for Scrapbook trends a couple of months ago.

Apparently they didn't want to use them, so I'll post them here instead.

This one is made out of leftovers from my desk. Picture of my daughter, who collects EVERYTHING!

I traced a leaf found outside, and made a new one in paper. Used it for mask with my color wash.

Yesterday I spent the evening with good friends, scrapbooking! Can you imagine! I haven't scrapbooked in a while, so it felt great to play with papers again.
I recently got my december Kenner Road kit, and made two layouts with the gorgeousness from the kit:)

May lis brought me some babypapers (Fancy pants and Cosmo Cricket) to play with, making something for the store.t to scrapbook some pictures of my beautiful niece:) She is adorable!!! Just app. 6 weeks old in these pictures.

Also made a card using the cute Fancy Pants papers.

And a picture of me and the lovely Christine withe her salt/pepper mustache I gave her as a late xmas pressie. Taken with the photobooth-thingie shown in previous post.

It is a joke we have, about my mustache *lol* It says in norwegian: My mustache is bigger than yours!

I am not good at keeping new years resolutions, at all!
But this year, I am writing down my HOPES and GOALS for 2010. Things I would like to get to do or achieve, without having bad conscience if I don't:)

1. Blog more often! yes, I know. I have said this many times, but this time I really HOPE I can do it:))

2. Spend more time with good friends!

3. Enjoy scrapbooking again! My MoJo has been kinda LOOOOW lately:( I think it has something to do with my scrapbookingroom...It is to cold, to white, to messy...Need to clean, Need to decorate. Need to bring in some colors!)

4. Loose weight.... I was kinda good during fall, lost almost 10 kg, and started working out. But then came xmas...and all that xmas brings:) I need to pull myself together, and start sweatin'!

5. Take care of my hair!! My hair is beeing badly neglected! Oh so bad! I can't remember last time I sat in a hairdresser's chair, seriously!!! I HOPE for a long, dark Bob-cut. But it looks like I have decided to wait a month or two, at least. I am going to CHA in 11 days, and I am saving all my pennies and coins for that trip. So mayby later then....

6. Spend more time outside. Me and my family are not that good at getting our asses outside the door! We have improved now during xmas holidays because of the snow, but we have to make it last. Hearing our daughter screaming of joy going down the steep hill, melts my heart!

7. Thinking positive. I HOPE to get better in beeing a positive person. Have some work to do. *blush*

8. Leave comments. I read a lot of blogs, but I am not that good in leaving a trace that I've been there. And it actually got even worse when the "I like" button came in google-reader! I HOPE to take the time to leave a nice comment, and show people who much I appreciate their blogging.

I think that is it for now. There are propably a whole lotta more I should have written here, but my mind is blank now. In that case, I can add them later, can't I?:)

So excited about CHA by the way! Did I mention that??
Meeting up with the sweet KL and Dina (Dina: don't forget my earplugs! *lol*) going to Disneyland, seeing Trisha again and all those nice people we met last year! We are leaving for USA next wednesday, the 20th. I am so lucky to have a friend like May Lis, who don't mind dragging me along:) *mwoah*

Mikal is attending a bithdayparty today, a friend of his is turning 60. (That's when I realize we are getting older *lol*, when we have friends in the 60s:))
This is man who has meant a lot to my husband. He has been there for him during the whole starting-his-own-business- process, and he has a lot of experience on this field.

His all time favorite is Delapier ( is this how it's written? It is a sweet champagne), which we call Dølaper:) So much easier:)
So I made this card, like a giftcard for 40 bottles of Delapier. Hopefully he'll like it:)

I used one of Melissa Frances's bingocards as the background for the card. I then sewed on a piece of felt, and glued on some primaflowers.

I made one of the tags as a giftcard, and the other one has a little message from us to the birthdayboy:)

Still 2 more days off left of this week. I have to me honest and say, I actually can get used to this one week of thing:) It is kinda relaxing, and I get to do all sorts of stuff regarding our new house. Last night Mikal went and bought me a new drill gun, so that I am able to put up pictures and stuff by myself:) And I did!!! Or, I put up our BIIIIG Ikea clock on the kitchenwall, and to keyholder (his and hers) in the hallway.

Next on my project is to put up the big worldmap I bought earlier this week, in the kitchen, and the Hang it all in the hallway.

Off to check my eyesight, and maybe get some new glasses:)

Spent the entire saturday at May Lis house, eating a FANTASTIC pizza and scrapbooking all night long:) Actually got to scrap 5 layouts! May Lis had brought me the new Pink Paislee papers, and some from the Earth Love-series from Cosmo Cricket. Love them!

Need to re-organize my scrapbookingroom. I really don't feel the urge to scrapbook when I am at home, at all.....It is sad, cause at the time I am only working 2 out of 4 weeks a month. So I have this week off from work.

Maybe it will help redecorating and reorganizing my room?

Oh well, off to clean the second floor of the house.

I got this wonderful, sweet, amazing card from my best friend at my 25th birthday.(which is some years ago now:)) It made me all teary, and I had to save it <3>

Finally!!! I found time to play with my newest Kenner Road kits!!! I love the add on, the minialbum, and the papers! Gosh! Both album, and the papers I've used is KaiserKrafts<3>

Made these white frames with Kenner Road stamp, embossed with with embossing powder, and cut out.

Maja really enjoyed scrapbooking with me (and she was able to sit STILL without nagging about having stuff all the time...*lol*) so I got to scrap a layout as well:)

For this I used Kenner Road May kit, K&Company strips and my new Martha Stewart Butterfly punch *loooove*

The picture is an old one, but I like it:)

It was fun!!! To scrapbook again!

seriously, it's been two months already

Oh well, I have an excuse! We have just moved into our new home, and I have been kinda busy and tired. Too tired to get some scrapbooking done, and the house has been too messy...:(

But yesterday I got my scrapbookingroom almost ALL cleaned up, and I think I'll try to get creative later tonight.

A lot has happened since my last update.

Like I said, we have just moved into the house.

We went on a easterholiday to a rented cabin in a place called Sirdalen. Gorgeous!!

Had to take our little girl to the ER to get some stitches on her chin.

She's 3 1/2, and already done this twice!
Got to go to Oslo with this man

to see Jeff Dunham Live in Oslo Spectrum, spending time just the two of us, getting goofy and meeting my best friend Nina again!

Celebrating constitutionday, with Maja in her Bunad. My aunt wore this same dress 45 years ago. Soooo cute!!Spending a hot day at Kongeparken, an amusementpark nearby.

Spending last weekend at my sisters house in Bergen, relaxin' and just beeing tourists.

Hope to get some layouts to share soon.

Made this easter-hanging, by stitching little squares of MME papers on to cardboard. Spraying with glimmermist, and stamping Heidi Swapp circles with Claudine paint.
Using Multimedium on the flowerleaves, leaving some of the old bookpage on the leaf.

Originally made this for May Lis at scrappejungelen.no to decorate her window with for easter, but I never made it in to the city....sorry babe!

DT for Scrappejungelen.no. Love those new Sassafras!!! Had trouble cutting them, since they are gorgeous!! I had to document my Dress up girl. She loves to put on her princessdresses, and some "fake" makeup, and lipgloss and high heels:) She walks better on high heels than her mum:)

The Bungle Jungle series from Sassafras! So not me to use patterned paper with animals and cartoons on them, but I loved these!! Need to use more of this kind of papers!

Got my Kenner Road Februarykit today!! Gosh!!! Need to play more!

Finally got some time to scrap today, after painting Maja's bedroom ONE MORE TIME! I am kinda tired of painting now.....urk!

The layout above is about blogging. By blog is called Ladybugen, in Norwegian ladybugen is Marihøne. Since my name is Mari, I often got called Marihøna whem I was younger. Therefor----Ladybugen.

Finally!

I found something at the local Fretex (salvation army) store!

It actually works! The lady behind the counter said I had a 1 month guarantee, just hold on to my reciept....lol....seriously??

The radio is like.....old!!!! I don't care if it works or not:)

But so sweet though:)

I have never before gotten stunned by the use of glimmermist....before I went to CHA.

I saw many different ways to use it, and I saw one essential thing I was missing at my table....The HEat gun!!

I have tried to use glimmer mist before, but haven't had the patience to wait for it to dry. Now I don't have to wait! I just turn the thing on, and VOILA! :)

So, after taking some make n' takes with Elizabeth at CHA, and laughing my ass of in Trisha and Michelle's hotelroom, I had all the things arranged for me to try this at home.

Tonight is the first night I have actually been able to sit down and enjoy some scrapbookingtime.

We are building a home, and we're kinda busy with preparing all the walls in the house for hanging up wallpaper. And I had 2 days of gastric flu, something I think made me 3 kilos lighter *lol*

But tonight, I made time!

Unfortunately, there is so dark here in my livingroom, so I am not able to take a decent photo of the layout. But I can show you a sneakpeak:

I have used large Doilies, sprayed with glimmermist, and added just the border of the second one around the edges. The mask is Heidi Swapp. The frame around the picture is made out of Sticky Back Canvas from Claudine Hellmuth, stamped with brown StazOn and then sprayed with glimmermist.

Will try and get a picture of the whole layout in the next few days:)

I don't know if I should be proud or emberrassed...but this is my 100th post!

Happy new year!!!!
Spent New Years Eve in Hønefoss, at my sisters BEAUTIFUL wedding!!
It was fantastic!
Bummer that I left my camera with Maja at her aunts house, so I have only these two pictures to show you... And yes, I wasn't happy with my hair, and yes, I NEED to go on a diet!
My sister though, she was sooooo gorgeous!! Seriously!!
